Grenoble is located in the south of France in the famous French Alps. Switzerland, Italy, Monaco and the Mediterranean coast are all a bus/train ride away. Popular Programs
This semester, academic year and summer program is designed to help students improve their written and spoken French, as well as increase the students’ knowledge of various areas of French culture and civilization including: literature, history, cinema, arts, politics and economics, and business. API has included the European Framework language level designations below to help students estimate which level they might place into and to be aware of the levels that can appear on their transcript.
This intensive language program is available in semester, academic year, summer and short term for students at all levels. All students complete a comprehensive French language course that focuses on writing, oral expression and pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Attendance is required for all classes, impacting both the number of contact hours/credits received and the final grades. Level of French study is based on a placement exam administered upon arrival.
This program is designed for students who want to study abroad in Grenoble at one of the premier universities in France, and take courses in Political Science, Humanities, French Culture and Civilization. Students will follow a preset track and can choose 3 or 4 elective options from a variety of courses taught in English, plus a French Language course. If proficient, students may choose to take their coursework in French.
The GEM program has earned a reputation as a prestigious center for international business study in the heart of the French Alps. It is considered one of Financial Times’ Top 50 European business schools and has been recognized by the international accreditation boards of AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS. This program is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors; all participants must have completed a minimum of 30 U.S. semester credits, of which at least 15 credits are business-related.
