If you’re a tech geek like me then look no further than South Korea!

If you’re a massive tech geek like myself then you have to visit one of the most technologically advanced places in the world, South Korea. When I arrived in Seoul, it was like I was in some tech geek’s paradise. It’s like Disneyland but imagine a whole city of it.

I did a 3 month internship at this great IT startup company right in the heart of the city and it was brilliant! There is a great saying that if you find a job you enjoy doing, you never have to work a day in your life and that resonated with me throughout my internship experience. I was in paradise and honestly wish it didn’t end!

In my free time I also managed to explore different places in South Korea and the country absolutely fascinated me. Just this whole experience really made me want to actively pursue a career in IT hopefully in South Korea too!

I want to thank my supervisor for giving me valuable insights and skills throughout my duration. I couldn’t have asked for someone better! I also want to thank my colleagues for being extremely kind and friendly. Best colleagues I could have asked for and lastly a special shoutout to AIP for making my trip in South Korea a memorable one!

A lifelong dream finally completed!

I am absolutely obsessed with South Korea. From binge-watching K-drama to listening to K-pop and Korean being my favourite cuisine, you can only imagine how excited I was by being able to intern in South Korea!

I was so excited that I barely slept on my long-haul flight to Seoul. When I got there my jaw dropped. It felt like I was dreaming as it took me so long to realize that I was actually in South Korea, the place that’s been on top of my bucket list forever!

Heads up guys, if you think Korean food is good in your country, be prepared to be blown away! If you’re coming here on a diet, then forget about it cause Korean food is absolutely fantastic!

I did my internship at a great marketing company in the heart of Seoul and it was fabulous! I had wonderful colleagues as well with who I’ve become really good friends. My office wasn’t even far from my accommodation so if I had to burn the previous night’s dinner and the weather was good I would sometimes walk to work!

I’ve had a truly wonderful time in South Korea and I was absolutely gutted to leave after 6 beautiful months. Thank you, AIP for making my dreams come true of finally being able to go to South Korea. Special shoutout to my work colleagues and I can’t wait to come back in the near future!

Take me back to summer 2021!

I don’t even know where to begin. I did an internship with AIP in South Korea and this is going to sound cliche but it was such a life changing experience!

It all started when a friend of mine told me about this internship they did in South Korea the previous summer. She did an internship in Seoul for 4 months and told me all about her experience. We both study business development and she told me that she learned so much during her 4 months. She said that the experience could be used for university credits as well (which is something that is required for our course).

So I did some more research and decided to apply. I landed an interview and the staff were really friendly. I wasn’t sure yet about what I wanted to do but they gave me multiple options as well.

The whole application process went extremely well and before I knew it I was already in South Korea.

When I got to South Korea I was amazed by everything, like I was blown away. I had seen lots of videos on South Korea and this definitely met my expectations.

I did an internship at a journalism company and loved every minute of it. From writing lifestyle articles to travel articles, this experience really allowed me to immerse myself in the local culture. My supervisor was super friendly and helpful and gave me valuable advice that I can take with me.

My accommodation in South Korea was great as well. It was only a 15 min ride from my apartment. Had convenience stores and everything I needed nearby like what more could I ask for. The only problem though is that I did have a few issues with my room such as the ac not working properly but they were so quick with fixing it.

I also met people from all over the world and this is one of the reasons that made this experience so great. It truly was a global experience and I can happily say that I’ve made friends from all over the globe.

I am so grateful for this experience and it’s one I will cherish forever. I met so many great people, really built my professional network and am grateful for the help I received by AIP. Can definitely recommend this experience to anyone. Please take me back to summer 2021!

Make Internships Great Again!

I recently did an internship for 3 months in South Korea and it was my first time going to Asia. I was a little nervous at first but AIP made the journey super comfortable for my parents and I.

Arriving in a country and culture that was different to my own was very hard at first but luckily I managed to meet other fellow interns during my time there and I can say I made some lifelong friends. The 24/7 emergency assistance by AIP also really helped me settle in well in Korea.

My internship was in IT and at first I was a little worried as I was the only foreigner at the company. In the end I had nothing to worry about because everyone at my company was so lovely and this experience gave me that valuable hands-on experience I was looking for.

I would say one thing I wished for more to occur would be the social gatherings. It would have been nice to have met more interns during my time there or at least have more activities that we could do together.

In the end, I truly had a wonderful time and I am so grateful for the people I've met, my host company and of course AIP! Thank you all for making internships great again!

Summer in Korea is the best summer

I did an internship for 4 months in South Korea and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Not only did I get to experience a country I’ve always been fascinated by but the whole experience is everything I hoped for.

I managed to work at this great company that focuses on UI/UX and was super happy with the hands-on experience I received. My supervisor was extremely helpful and I’ve learned a lot from my colleagues.

The only drawback was my accommodation as it was a little far from the office and especially after work, it often did take a while to reach my apartment. Despite the little drawback I cannot complain that much and want to thank AIP and my host company for this great opportunity. I cannot wait to go to South Korea again!

I love South Korea!

I have done an internship in South Korea in the field of PR & Marketing as I am so interested in the Asian business, especially in the field of entertainment. South Korea is the city that I can visit many areas easily with the public transportation, hence, the marketing in this country is super fascinating. The company I have an internship with always guide me from the very basic skills to the advance skills I should have if I would like to grow in this career path and it is such a helpful tip! Moreover, I really enjoy the food and the attractions there, I will surely improve myself to be more professional and if I have a chance to work there, I will go for it!

Daebak!

If I could sum my internship experience in one word it would be "daebak"! In Korea, daebak means awesome! I wasn't initially supposed to go to South Korea. I applied to AIP with the intention of going to Japan. However, due to unforeseeable circumstances, Japan closed their border again so I was unable to apply for a visa. My internship supervisor suggested a change of destination to South Korea and I agreed. Best decision ever! Everything was great and the process was so quick! The company's office was very modern and all the staff were so kind and helpful. My internship supervisor along with AIP community manager were always ready to answer my questions and helped me settle in the country. Overall I'm very satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend it to students looking to complete an internship abroad!

Seoul was beautiful!

All I can say is, I highly recommend using AIP if you are trying to find an internship in South Korea! Their service was great, they kept on communication with me and updated me with my placement process. They answered any questions or concerns I had.

I was trying to find an internship to be part of my degree and I got placed in a company where I learnt so much! The supervisor was helpful, and I definitely learnt new skills to use for my degree.

South Korea itself was absolutely beautiful! I loved visiting new places and Korean cuisine is my favorite so I was so happy to be able to try authentic Korean food! Because of the experience I had, I will definitely come back to travel to Korea again.
