About Program

Gain valuable career experience working remotely for an internationally-based company through a virtual internship with businesses and organizations that are based at our Specialty Program locations around the world.

Three-credit virtual internships are arranged by USAC Specialty Program directors with local companies, NGOs, and governmental organizations. Virtual internships include an online course component where students learn how culture is reflected in the workplace and develop skills necessary for success in the global workforce.

Latin America and its Cultures

When Covid hit and the world stood still, this class was a great opportunity to learn about the Latin American Culture. The professor is very knowledgeable about the history and how that has helped shaped the culture into what it is today. As a class, we discussed the history of the culture, food, music, traditions and much more. The professor would have us do research on a topic of interest as well as reading different articles and watching videos. I would highly recommend this class to everyone!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would have made a reading list of all the authors and books we discussed during class so I could continue reading.
