Italy’s capital proudly displays thousands of years of art, architecture, religion, and culture alongside a sprawling metropolis of politics, academia, and business. Named the Eternal City by the ancient Romans, Rome is filled with UNESCO World Heritage sites and remains one of the most popular attractions in the world.
Courses are available in English and Italian.

CIEE’s January in Rome program invites students of all majors to gain insight on Italian society with a choice of coursework on Food, Nutrition, and Culture or Exploring Rome – the Birthplace of the Modern Museum.
With CIEE's Open Campus Block Programs, you can design your very own study abroad program to include up to three different locations for 6, 12 or 18 weeks.

Scholarships
CIEE Scholarships and Grants
CIEE’s need-based grants offer support to students who face financial barriers to studying abroad. CIEE awards need-based grants based on students’ EFCs and program selection. The Gilman Go Global Grant offers students $750-$2,000 toward airfare, plus $2,500 toward semester program costs, or $1,000 toward summer program costs.
