My experience with Global E&S as an intern

Interning at Global E&S allowed me to work within a different culture and work environment. During the internship I developed skills that I believe are key to have in your personal and work life, and I will carry those skills with me to future jobs. I was welcomed with a warm group of people who spread open-mindedness, togetherness, and passion. I will always have high expectations for my future workplaces because what I experienced while at Global E&S will be hard to find anywhere else. I am extremely thankful to have had the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of people and I recommend interning here to not only gain experience but to also gain growth in yourself.

Amazing!

My experience at Let’s Korea ( Global E&S), as an intern, was one of the best opportunities! I’m really thankful for such a welcoming staff that made the experience fun and educational. I got hands-on experience in the field of my major, and got the opportunity to work in a team as well as individually on projects. The staff was very kind and welcomed us, and made the whole experience a lot of fun! I enjoyed going to company lunches and the occasional company dinner. Having a set schedule and knowing the job tasks asked of me made it really easy for me to be comfortable in the setting. I have a lot of anxiety, so taking this internship was really hard for me at first. I was worried about whether or not I would make friends, if I would get to see interesting things and see popular places. But I was able to plan around my work schedule and find something fun to do every weekend. The memories I made here in Korea are ones that I treasure a lot! Having the opportunity to work with people from different backgrounds taught me a lot on how to work together with a lot of differences between me and others. Seoul was such an amazing city to explore and learn about. I think that I grew a lot as a person, and got to grow my professional skills as well! I also got to improve my Korean speaking skills, and listening!

I would do it all over again!

Pros
  • Fun
  • Good Office Vibes
  • Educational
Cons
  • Lonely, I didn't have a lot of friends
  • I didn't get along with some of the people I met
  • The program was too short! I wanted to stay a lot longer

Global Education & Services Internship Experience

Working at Global Education & Services as an intern has been a very positive and impactful experience. The work environment is very nice, where interns are given their own room to work in. The staff there are friendly and are very open with their communication for us to understand clearly what they want and what we need to be successful. The company provides nice accommodations such as coffee, snacks, lunch, etc. The workload itself is manageable and the tasks assigned are variable. The tasks assigned depend on what you're skilled at and have an educational background in. For example, some of us are translating because we know other languages, and some of us will be working on video production and editing. Outside of working hours, they will occasionally provide activities for us to bond with our coworkers, such as watching a movie or having dinner together. Overall, the internship experience with this company has been fantastic, and I would recommend it to anyone who's looking to develop their professional skills.

Pros
  • Friendly work environment
  • Nice workspace
  • Company provides bonding activities and event with coworkers
Cons
  • Lots of independent work if you're not comfortable with that
  • Varying levels of work and tasks
  • A constantly changing work environment

Great Internship!

I loved my placement. The staff was fantastic and gave me a lot of freedom to create projects as I saw fit. They helped guide me on unfamiliar topics and ensured my work was up to par while giving me the freedom to try new things. I created videos for our social media and also assisted with business plans. It felt great that they valued my input and treated me as an asset to the company. I looked forward to lunch every day because it was always fantastic and I tried every cafe I could. The city was easy to navigate and safe as well.

Pros
  • Amazing food
  • Beautiful city
  • Great company to work for

Fun Experience

This was one of the best experiences I ever had. The people at the internship were really nice and spoke English which really helped because I did not know any Korean when I started interning at the company. They made me feel welcomed and would answer any questions I had about Korean culture or anything else. During my spare time, I would explore the city since everything was new and completely different from where I came from. This was my first internship and it was such a great experience that I wish I could do it again.

Great Experience!

This was a really great once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will give me a head-start in my future career. I am really glad that I stepped outside of my comfort zone and pushed myself to do this. Everybody was so helpful and supportive throughout the whole process of applying and getting matched with an internship. They also helped us get comfortable with being independent in a foreign country and took us on some unique group excursions that we never would have done on our own. Overall, one of the best summers I have ever had!

Pros
  • Making friends
  • Exploring
  • Fun work
Cons
  • Long workdays
