Intensive English Program

The Intensive English Program is designed to prepare international students for American academic life. Students have class Monday through Friday from 9 A.M. to 1:15 P.M. The IEP consists of four subjects: Reading & Vocabulary, Communication, Writing, and Grammar. At the FIU English Language Institute, we ensure that students' experiences outside the classroom are just as meaningful and enriching as those inside the classroom. Every week, our students get to know each other and explore Miami through outings to Miami's iconic beaches, kayaking at Biscayne Bay. Students also participate in campus life by going to football games, working out at FIU's state-of-the-art recreational center, and attending on-campus student events such as FIU's Language Day.
