I am so grateful!

I’m so happy to be here. Everything is so engaging and fun. The professors are amazing, the environment background is even better and I’m so grateful to have the opposto be here with this people and professors. I love the American environment, the American people always bring me happiness and the support of the university is awesome!
They also helped me choosing my degree as at first I was no sure. Now I’m super confident with my degree and I am very grateful for this. I love John Cabot and all the people in it!

Best abroad experience

Great food, great teachers, great staff, all in a great city. Didn’t know what to expect but it exceeded whatever I thought! Ottimo cibo, ottimi insegnanti, ottimo personale, tutto in una grande città. Non sapevo cosa aspettarmi ma ha superato qualsiasi cosa pensassi!

Unforgettable and Enriching Experience

I studied at JCU during the Spring of 2018. It was such a magical experience that I think about often. I lived in the Trastevere neighborhood, which was close to both the main campus and the train station. Honestly looking back on my time in Rome now feels like a fairytale. The multicultural exchange, beauty of the city, unbelievable food, intellectual challenge, and endless opportunities for travel are just the big things that made studying at JCU a once in a lifetime adventure. I would go back and do it again in a heartbeat. If you are college age and get the chance to do something like this absolutely sign up and do not look back.

Pros
  • Exciting city
  • Stimulating classes
  • Great people
Cons
  • Strict house rules

John Cabot University

I studied in the fall of 22 and at first it was super hot and we didn’t have AC but after the first month the weather was perfect! Staff has been super supportive and the classes I took were hard but they only had 1 stats 2 teacher who legitimately was the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. But night life super fun! Super safe!

Also residential sucks though. People kept getting sick and res life just through there hands up also bed bugs are present and they don’t do anything.

Other than that history of the city takes up a lot of my curiosity

Pros
  • Night life
  • History of Rome
  • Safety
Cons
  • Housing
  • Teachers
  • They campus closes early and opens late so no late night studying at the library

Great Experience

The uncertainty of living and attending school in a new country gave me much anxiety but the ease of moving in and attending classes that John Cabot provided made this study abroad experience already an unforgettable part of my life. The university’s presentations about the city, safety, and academics made me feel included and part of this school which I was unsure I would receive as I am not a degree seeking student here. Overall, the academic and social life the schools provides is extraordinary and definitely something everyone should experience.

Great American education Experience in Rome

Both of the student housing (Gianicolo and Lungara) are great because of the security available 24/7 and proximity to the campuses. Guarini is the closest campus, Tiber is a bit farther, and Critelli is the farthest. It helps if you are taking general classes, so that you are not missing out on any major-specific courses from your home institution. There are so many great restaurants, bars, and gelato places, so there is no shortage of great Italian food. Just be aware of pickpocketers, have common sense, and have a great time in Rome!

Pros
  • English Speaking
  • In Rome

John Cabot University – Summer Session I

I had never been to Europe before, and can at times be hesitant to get out of my comfort zone. This experience forced me to come out of my shell and be uncomfortable in the best way possible, and has forever changed me for the better… I feel much more confident in who I am and have a broader perspective about the world in which I live. I made so many new friends and explored places that I never could have dreamed of seeing. Life is beautiful – this is something I already knew. But now, after spending over a month in Rome, I realized that life is so much more beautiful than I ever could have imagined!

Pros
  • Great professors
  • Wonderful location
  • Immaculate Vibes
Cons
  • Covid restrictions
  • Could not go to other residence halls
  • Grading policies
